I would love it if they won it.

The amount if people that would lose their minds over how the British media react would be epic.

You'd swear our own Irish media never went OTT with sporting "success"

As for the people who support English clubs week in week out but hate England, well that's going to be real fun to watch.

A bit like how the Irish media still bang on about Italia 90 (where the only game Ireland won was on penalties), scoring a goal against England in 88 and beating Italy in the Giants Stadium.

And don't forget we have "The Best Fans in the World".

If you watch primarily English television, it would be ridiculous to expect to see anything but celebrations of a victory.

It's like watching MUTV and complaining that they are biased towards Man Utd.

Its all relative. England today are no worse than what I have seen so far in this WC.
I think as far as quality goes...this is the worst world cup i have seen in my lifetime

Winner of France/Brazil should win it, assuming they turn up at the final.

Would have been bothered by previous English teams - not so much this one

It's not going to happen anyway

Nailed on for the final now IMO but someone from the other side of the draw should win it.

It must be exhausting to wish so much ill on a team all the time.

Save it for after the final. It's coming home.

Italy and Holland were too crap to make it Argentina just about and Spain well they just passed out. Brasil look more Germany than Germany these days don’t try and tell me there’s a power shift because I’m not feelin it. Decay is headed our way and a bunch of average joes may well win this thing

Have to agree but it’s been enjoyable.

It makes me wonder if technological advances are to blame. Players these days grew up with xboxes/PlayStations and smartphones and so didn’t spend as much time outside playing football as kids and this would have an impact on skill and concentration levels.
