If we get a home draw for the final of the play offs, will the tickets for that game not go on sale until the 27th of March i.e. if we beat Slovakia on the 26th of March.

Hard to know how they'd do it.

Either wait until day after first game and hope to sell out in 24 hours and then hope that the postal system runs like clockwork or sell tickets in advance with the promise of a refund if we don't qualify would be the only ways I could think of. I don't envy the ticket office anyway.

Maybe a good old fashioned first come first served queue

I would say it would be usual allocations and then first come first serve or lottery for leftovers. Hold put on CC, then taken out and issued electronically if we go through.

Buy your ticket as normal and if we get beaten in the semi ,then a refund is issued .

That would work ok ,better than trying to sell all the tickets in 4 days .

Any potential home final will be on the season ticket.

Trnava will be tight for tickets. Using the 5% +200 rule our allocation wil be 1,160 although apparently Wales received 2k for their qualifier.

Bratislava wont be much better at 1325.

I can't see any reason Slovakia FA would give is any more tickets than the minute allocation.

Ya thats what im thinking, they definitely wont be leaving just 4 days to shift all the tickets, even though it would probably sell out in 4 days.

If we do get a home draw on Friday when do you reckon the tickets for the final will go on sale to the general public?

Wouldn't expect them to start selling them until February.Dont think they make tickets available too far in advance.

As it is a 1 off playoff will the allocations still be based on home/away games?

Apparently it's the same as other away games ,5% + 200 but I'm sure the FAI will try get as big an allocation as possible.

What kind of record do you think we'll need to get tickets for the playoff? Couldn't get tickets for Gibraltar away and skipped Denmark. Was at the other 2 though.

Gibraltar was 6 from last 10 if I remember right, possibly 7 - certainly no more. Probably about the same. They only counted games which weren’t oversubscribed so not being at Gibraltar game won’t count against you presuming they do the same.

So counting backwards I think it was Switzerland, Georgia (ECQ), Denmark (ECQ), Denmark (NL), Poland, Wales (NL), France, Turkey, Georgia (WCQ) and Austria. Gibraltar, Danish playoff and Wales WCQ won’t count.
