Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Has the Orchard Bar closed permanently?
    It opened up recently but a friend of mine said they are closing permanently

    is that the one in applewood? saw something online a few days ago on some news site to say the pub there was closing down

    i was told no, it will reopen when the pubs are allowed.

    Opening up and serving the chinese food didn't work out.

    So it was the Chinese food from Jade palace upstairs they were selling.
    I was wondering how they got around that part.
    It was worth a go I suppose.

    yeah it was a deal with the jade.


    There was initial grief cos Jade wouldn't open before 1700 and therefore the pub couldn't either.


    then when they gave it a go - they insisted on a main course being bought.
    it wasn't a popular option with the regulars.



    dunno why they didn't try a deal with the other food outlets beside them...


    maybe it's not worth the hassle.
