I would suggest following some of your favorite bands on Spotify and you will be able to see what they are listening to. I also am really liking The New Division, Phantogram, and The Naked and Famous.

    Ane Brun - Rarities.

It is so beautiful. Oh Love is my favourite song. In fact if you only listen to one song this year let it be that.

I dont see any 80's sub forum but some of you might like this one, it was in the 1983 move Valley Girl. Should have been an 80's Anthem but I dont remember it.

Those who like Funkadelic (their the closest relation of the music that I listen to) might be interested in this. Played it for a friend and he said it reminded him of the Mahavishnu Orchestra, who I haven't listened much to but I can see the connection.

It's a mix of psychedelic rock and soul.

If you don't want to listen to the whole thing, this is my favourite song:

    Hello all

I am getting my 13 year old grandson some vinyl discs for Christmas . I would welcome some suggestions .

Something that could be a bit more challenging than those compilation albums or that Bruno Mars type stuff . I really don't have a clue so I would welcome any help

Last year I got him Prince and Kings of Leon . Thanks for any help

Can someone recommend me some ambient electronica a bit like Rival Consoles? Maybe something new as opposed to the Warp Records collection of artists who have been in existence for last 10/20 years (Boards of Canada, Plaid, Aphex)

    tks

I find that site good. Type the name of a band you like and search. Gives you bands that are similar. Can be a bit hit and miss at times but all in all it can be decent if you're looking to discover something new.
