Was in St Petersburg recently and took a photo of this ship; the Cruiser Aurora which is a museum ship now.
Didn't get on board this time but hope to in the future.

I think those hydrofoils are still used around Russia as public transport. Theyre all ancient old yokes but still get Olga down river in to town to do her shopping and a sneaky vodka.

My Grandfather was the Captain of the City of Cork Steam Packet Company (later B+I) ship the M.V. Innisfallen, photo from 1931.


Construction and launch of the M.V. Innisfallen c.1930. It was owned by the City of Cork Steam Packet Company and sailed on the Dublin-Liverpool route until it struck a mine on the Wirral near Liverpool in 1940.
