You can vote for Cillian as sports star of the year here

I see Colin Sheridan has a piece in the examiner on why he should be POTY

Can see that as our Senior County management team within the decade.

Portwest have signed a 5 year deal for the back of the jerseys. Some good news for a change!

    Great news!!

Seán Deane from Breaffy has been ratified as the new Mayo under 17/minor football manager at tonight's online County Board meeting.

A former Kiltane footballer has managed the Mayo under 16 team for the last number of seasons.

Gary Ruane,Shane Conway,Shane McCann and Danny O Toole are part of the backroom team.

Anyone know how well he done with the u16s?
Was he involved with the Breaffy senior management team ?

I see there’s a new overseas Twitter account

Linked this appointment with his friendliness with Horan and Moffatt while in the same post saying he was U-16 manager to this group

How the f**k do we end up with clowns like this following us

    Apologies just viewed your post.

    Green&Red kindly posted it.

Trying to avoid the rage cesspit that is twitter.

Amongst the reasons for a self imposed exile.

The content of that account is very disappointing.

Wonder when they'll start showing maps of the Erris region with arrows again?

At this stage, the nonsense that is put up is boring. Doubt they'll go after Butler again.

    Higgins is a legend.
He has some haul of medals.

    Numerous Connacht
    U21 All Ireland
    National League
    Junior Hurling All Ireland
    Nicky Rackard
    Football Railway Cup
    Hurling Railway Cup.

I don't think there is anyone else from Mayo with both of the latter two.

Probably our best defender ever? Defensive and attacking ability and tactical awareness he was one of these best I've ever seen.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,286 ✭✭✭seligehgit

Zippy was one of our greatest ever.

    Happy retirement.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,417 ✭✭✭wirelessdude01

Wonder will he be tempted to give a year to the hurlers?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 118 ✭✭Daragh1980

All these retirements remind me of a spoilt child annoucing “It’s my ball. I don’t want to play anymore so I’m taking it home.”

Would be hilarious if Mayo won the 2021 All Ireland. I wonder how those quitters would feel then (all of whom, I believe are still happy to play club football)

I don’t think there is anyone else from Connacht with the latter 2, ironically.
