Yeah, it was a very lovely example they bought in Germany I think.

the one for sale above is a bit ropey, but well priced for what they are - bar needing any work on the engine.

(edit: actually I think it was the car they originally sold, being sold on by someone else)

If you want a well sorted, well presented car and you have a generous budget and having a few grand more or less in your pocket means very little to you, then by all means go to Deane. If you don't have that sort of budget for the car you want, you will have to look elsewhere

Nice car though
Costello put V8's into only 2 MGC's because of the lower center of gravity as the 'C' had torsion bar front suspension, all the rest were 'B's.

Did anyone else see the Bond Bug up on Donedeal last night for €2000? In Wexford. Was home in twenty minutes.

I had never heard of them until last night when I clicked onto it. What's the craic with them?

Just noticed the anti-clockwise rev counter, that's quite cool, never spotted that before.

Essentially a Reliant 3-wheeler with a wedge of cheese body and inflated price tag.

VRT same as motorcycles (vintage 30+ year rate = €0). Motor tax as per motorcycle. Not periodically tested like motorcycles. Toll free M50 / East link like motorcycles. Driving licence category A (used to be covered under B, but not any more - watch out kids)

From: https://www.ndls.ie/licence-categories.html

Quote:
Important

Tricycle: Where a person had an entitlement to the category B full licence prior to 19 January 2013 that also covered them to ride tricycles. They still retain that entitlement. All first full Licences issued for the category B from 19 January 2013 would not have this entitlement and therefore they must take out the appropriate Bike category to ride a trike. The appropriate bike category will depend on the CC of the Tricycle.
e.g. If you had full B entitlement prior 19/01/2013, a new licence should show this as "grandfather rights" under category A (79.03) = full A entitlement restricted to tricycles

Yes, I am a Reliant botherer.

Seems a great price at €1650 if it’s not a total basket case. These are great cars

Really is a bargain unless the floor pan is swiss cheese - an ideal starter classic I think ( if you want to go old timer that is )
