Trying to trace my great great grandfather who was a ship broker on Eden Quay in Dublin in the 1800's, He lived in Hawthorn Terrace, North wall.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Arthur

Have a read of the sticky at the top of forum - specifically Thom's Directory. That might give you some information as you can look at the street and see who lived in each house. Also the 1851 head of household index census fragment - available to search online at irishorigins.net for a small fee ( I think you can get a 72 hour subscription for a tenner) - this would also give access to Griffiths Valuation but this can be got free on askaboutireland.com
