I'm not even posting my bets tonight (ffs Leinster couldn't even manage -8.5 in the 1st half) all of them failed and the account is empty. I think I'll stick to real rugby for the rest of the season.

Have been lurking and not posting recently so hope this was worth the wait.....

South Africa to win the Rugby Championship - 4/1 They are at home to Aus and NZ and the way they are playing I can't see the kiwi's beating them in SA. The odds seem far too generous.

For this weekend I like

Zebre + 8 - Glasgow have made a lot of changes to the team that beat Leinster and Zebre are on a high.

Cardiff +17 - I hope Leinster smash this but I found out the hard way last season that when the big guns are coming back into the team after rest periods they tend to be a bit rusty and the tries are not as free flowing as you'd expect.

I'd be relatively confident in your selections, GT. Some good shouts in there even if there is a conflict between our respective Leinster bets. I expect Leinster to win by 10-15 but mostly down to the incompetence of the Blues as opposed to anything impressive by Leinster.

I used to regularly have a punt on Toner to score a try - he's always a good price, hangs around the fringes of rucks near the try line and bound to get over sooner or later. Tonight could be the night, I think I'll copy you.:D

Didn't go for Toner in the end but he had another good game and I'm sure I'll return to him soon. Various try scorers let me down but with my account facing obliteration (again) Ian Madigan's late try left me 15% up on the night.

I put 30 or 40 euro into my paddy power account at the start of last season and the season before and I'd gamble that for the season on rugby. Sometimes I'd be up quite a bit, like over 100euro, and other times i'd be down to 2 euro. At the end of each season I'd end up taking out 30 or 40 euro.

I enjoyed it but for what ever reason I've no interest in doing it this season.

Agh! Got greedy and added Treviso -17 to the double. Stupid last minute try cost me there.

I had the Treviso game but was a little reluctant to go so low thinking Ulster's bench had a bit of a punch in it.
