Crappy light showers of cold rain here. All very typically March and I can't wait to see the back of it.

    Dare I say...Warm sector?

One has to ask, did this mP trash really need it's own thread?

A bit of cold weather in March and some are getting excited about it. Really?

Some of us had some hefty snow showers this morning, so definitely worthy of a thread.

Heavy rain and hail.. 3c. Pretty big drop from 8c about an hour ago, very good going and bodes well for tonight.

Convective/Thunderstorm thread would normally be sufficient for hail showers this time of year.

We’ve had snow though and there’s a high chance some will get a covering.

Just because it’s not in your area doesn’t mean the rest of us shouldn’t discuss it.

    Situation at 350 metres... https://streamable.com/duuejz

Think maybe a few centimetres up there by morning?

Indeed, we have 100+ page threads for a bit of slush or a windy day multiple times every winter. This is the first day of interesting weather we've had in 6 weeks so harm having a thread

    Proper heavy snow here now:)

It's interesting how quickly the colder air got back in after the warmer conditions this afternoon

It has eased off now, but it's looks like there are more showers to come. A bit of snow has accumulated on the grass and on the car

Brief snow shower in Dublin 5, it was mostly sleet and hail but did turn to full on snow for a bit.

Discuss away, I said "normally". If this is a little more than the normal March/April pattern then good for those that get it.

Some interesting clouds brewing to the west.

sleety\snow mix here in South Galway. temperature down to 2.1C

Dew point slowly dropping here but few showers. For some reason Connacht always seems to get heavier more frequent showers?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,235 ✭✭✭Oneiric 3

Place turned white here about 30 mins ago with a mix of hail and snow. Not a particularly heavy shower though. Real heavy showers have become a thing of the past.

This is normal March weather, in fact I would argue that it is below par. It only seems out of the norm this time around because of the prolonged spell of dull nothing weather that we have just barely clawed our way out of but will be dragged back into from tomorrow onwards for the forseeable.

Had one heavy shower of hailstones as I suspected we would but mainly rain now.

We can call today a discussion more than an event.

Quite cold out. A wet cold. I think I saw the ISS earlier.

Some of the hailstones earlier were massive.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?
