Eko Tex - Ultra Black 200, from the yogashop.co.uk
    also available as

Ultra Black 66 Yoga and Pilates Mat at http://www.ruthwhiteyoga.com

I have had one for years, and it's as good as new.

They are far too thick (7mm) for folding, heavy, and expensive but very confortable, and very, very hard wearing.

I saw Manuka Yoga mats in TK Maxx in St Stephen's Green for €17 yesterday. I think they're supposed to be quite good, although I don't have one myself.

Im shopping around for a good mat at the moment myself. Hubby bought me a new one at xmas, it feels lovely but after a while your feet start slipping terribly on it :(

The mats below look awesome......expensive tho!!!

Fountain of joy in Dublin have a good selection of decent mats too.

Before you buy a yoga mat it is worth reading the information at
    http://www.burrenyoga.com/retreats-holidays/choosing-a-yoga-mat.html

Some of the more expensive ones are not necessarily better.

One good thing about buying a mat when you see it, rather than on-line, is that you can feel it in your hard, get a good idea of the weight of it.... and also 'smell it' ;-) Some of the rubber ones are very smelly.

    Best Wishes,
    Dave

I have the Black Beauty version of the Manduka pro mat, my other half has the black one... we think they're fantastic. We've had lots of mats that cost 25-40 euro and they didn't last very long, these are excellent quality and the best we've ever used. Only bad point is that they are heavy 3 kilos
