Couldnt be brighter in North Dublin. Temps in or around 0c. Workmates just informed me that in Norway they are having an unusually mild spring and in Luthunia they have had one of the lowest recorded snowfall for any Winter ie sod all snow for the whole winter.
    Messed up!

A mod should put a yellow warning for snow in the north and northwest (up to 10 cm's) and also the midlands (up to 5 cm's) on the OP for Sunday 12 pm to Tuesday 12 pm.

    Seriously???

Very brief wet snow shower just rushed through here. Temp 5.8c DP -1.0 Lasted about 15 seconds and not even enough to wet the ground. Doesn't seem right considering my big nose is still red from sunburn last week.

Sleet reported at Knock now but in reality it's only the low overnight temperatures that have been anything of note. Any precip was always going to be non-wintry mess away from high ground. Got some melting hail here earlier and I see a few stray spots of something white on the top of Kippure (above 700 m).

That band of precip is already now into the NW but stations are reporting it as rain. It will have already moved through come nightfall so the chance of seeing anything other than low-level hail and rain is fast passing us by. We needed a more direct feed of colder air instead of this sluggish feed that came via Iceland. Too much modification has taken place for anything wintry.

A cool (though not cold) and mostly bright sunny day here in Waterford. Pity it's not a few degrees warmer, but the weather is turning out much better than I expected last week.

Interesting 'comma' like feature just off the west coast, although more likely to be some sort of hybrid.

We had a heavy hail shower here in Dunmanway, the ground and cars turned white. It's horrible out, one minute you're too warm when the sun is out, the next minute too cold. The old saying is 'never cast a clout till may is out'.
I don't know if they are referring to the month or the tree.

cold conditions set to last till the second week of May at least, another cool week ahead, maybe a degree or 2 milder.
