Need to add fibre to dogs diet

My german shepard is 9 and is on an almost meat diet his whole life. However, he is having some small issues lately going to the toilet and the vet recommended adding more fibre to his diet.

He is not mad about eating vegetables, he normally just eats around them.

What would you add to a dogs diet for fibre.

I would prefer not to add dog nuts to his diet if possible.

psyllium husk .. you get it in most stores tescos etc

You could try carrots.
Not as food as such, but as a chew toy

a couple of teaspoons of liquid paraffin on his food
