Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Microbiology - culturing probiotics

    Hi,
    I was advised by someone to empty a good quality probiotic capsule into 500g yoghurt to culture it further but I can't find much evidence Google to say whether it will culture. I leave it out of the fridge to help it add I imagine it wouldn't do it cold at any rate...
    Can anyone advise am I just wasting these expensive capsules? If it does work, does it have to go into 'live' yoghurt or can I throw it in the cheap stuff?
