Any update on what decision the schools took with the students returning from Italy?

Did thye not make a decision last week. Everything runs as normal and if someone is sick remain at home

Very strong rumours that a pupil from a school IN Waterford has been sent home with a presumptive positive, returned from Italy last week. Would líne up with other cases returning from Italy. Hopefully virus isn't as contagious while asymptomatic

A lot of cases around the world have been presumed cases and added on official list. Testing was just a formality. No harm for people to know, especially if you have an immune compromised child there, take extra steps, more hand sanitizer etc

God sake, it has already been shown to be only a rumour from St Declans in Kilmacthomas on WLR.

    Except it does create harm,
Idle spectulation and creating of gossip and runours causes people to needlessly worry, creates fear, misinformation and with some creates panic buying.

To claim its not harm is flat out false.

The level of paranoia on this thread from some posters and social media from people is frankly disgusting.

Wouldn't be as many rumours if the powers that be, gave clear & accurate details.

They've been giving updates on where in the country they are. Not a single one so far has been in the south east.

So what's the next excuse for spreading rubbish rumours about it in Waterford?

There is an extended ban on in the hospital now, more stricter than what was out there now. The visitors list if any is diminished.

Only visit hospital if the person your visiting is in serious end of life situation. Otherwise your putting the very people your visiting in danger. Hopefully we avoid the worst of it , only good thing is new building has all individual room's which can be used for isolation.

There only rooms in use in the new building are on the Cherry Ward which is the top floor and currently being used for oncology, the bottom two floors are for the hospice which isn’t open yet.

There is a cardiology day ward there too

According to what I read from that, is they had someone is isolation but there was no confirmation of it at the time of printing.
I have heard from s few different sources that there was a case out there, but again it is hearsay unless it's confirmed.

Actually if the morons who take their news from hysterical media and fakebook actually READ the hse advice and LISTENED to the appointed experts, they'd have clear and accurate details.

Problem is too many people lack basic common sense and listen to fools

All of this, totally agree. The lack of basic sense is the worry, nobody takes anything serious.
