Wow thanks folks! Much appreciated. Well done to HM's, some great shots all round. Thanks myksyk for the sterling effort every week, it's great to keep this going and keep everyone interested in uploading the lovely pics!

Not much to say about this shot technically. Taken on a Canon 5d mk IV and Canon 16-35 f4 lens at 26mm and f13. It's a double exposure for the foreground and sky as the rising sun was incredibly bright and impossible to capture foreground in same shot.

Hardest part of this shot was the physical exertion of climbing lugnaquilla at 3am in the morning after 3 hrs sleep with all the gear. It was absolutely freezing with a strong easterly breeze adding to the cold, although you wouldn't think it with the warm sunlight in the photo! The funny looks from early walkers meeting me on the way down was gas!

It was torture getting up there, but the views as the sun was rising were astonishing and impossible to capture on camera. Regular climbers of lug will know that 80% of the time it's covered in fog or cloud. So to get an actual sunrise there was a rare occurrence and we were blessed.

Phone pics on the way up:

@Old Goat- is that the 'Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe' in Berlin?

    Excellent abstract shot!
