Its an utter joke. Last year i had my C200 insured for something like 700 fully comp. Same with the C220 CDI and even the 520i were all in or around the 700 mark.

They class the 406 as a high performance vehicle. I never, ever heard such utter bollox. They clearly never drove a standard one!

I'd give 25plus a try, That's who I went with! Seem to be pretty reasonable

Looking at others don't think I'm doing that bad, that said a lot wouldn't even quote me last time due to age of car. One thing that strikes me is that there is no feckin consistency from reading this thread

Price: €450. Same as above was previously with FBD and their renewal quote this year was ridiculous at something like 750 so shopped around and AIG was the best I could find for slightly better TPFT cover than FBD were offering.

Not exactly the same but AIG did offer me cheaper, substantially better than FBD and were very negotiable on extra things since they were dropped/left from AA last year. AA added my wife to the policy and included full cover for her to drive any other vehicle for the same though.

I do have four points for speeding which I haven't told them about yet. I'd say that would put up my premium... But I don't know if it would prevent them from paying out in the event of a crash. Worrisome.
