Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    John (Cloud), Dan (Regi), Gerry (Vexorg) Jerry (X_OR), Jon (Talliesin), Alan (Figment) and I have all put work into it too and theres more to come.
    Cloud obviously put a lot of time and attention into moving things over today, esp since I know he was in Dublin early this morning hehe. Thx J.

    Our primary goal is to get what we have better organised and working properly.
    Then we'll take a breather and sit and think about what cool things we could do to improve things round here... we have a few ideas.

    For the moment some things are not going to work until we get some time to sort them out, as ever bear with us.

    In other news, Boards was shortlisted for the Internet Awards and was placed 2nd only to P45.net. Thats a hell of an achievement considering the field also contained sites like (in order)

    With the amount of money they have been spending on advertising and the start up capital they had, we should all consider this a pat on the back. A few more posts from Wyverne and we're laughing... smile.gif
    It would be funny if we out stripped them, which we should about a month from now hehe..
