Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    I thought this might an interesting thing to discuss. As myself someone who studies History at undergraduate level and would like to continue on with it. (Though probably shouldn't...)

    What are the best career options nowadays for people with history degrees? Are there any "new" areas where there are plenty of jobs? :p

    Realistically you'll have to do at least some sort of post-grad but leaving the obvious one (teaching) aside, you could consider journalism & media, researcher / analyst, law (through a conversion course), and archivist (I'd say a post-grad specialist course is needed for this)....
