Well, whatever happened to the poster, if she or any of her family catches the C-19 virus, she'll be glad there (rightly) won't be protests against affected people travelling from areas in to Limerick, Dublin, Cork, Waterford or any of the hospitals in urban areas to avail of treatment from overworked front line HSE workers. No matter where she's from or what registration she has in her car.

Don't forget, the first cluster in Ireland was in the West.

It works both ways. If you see social distancing ignored, avoid & report, act responsibly and maturely, don't take the law in to your own hands and don't be mean spirited.

Why are posts being removed from this thread with no explanation?

How did all these people manage to get there without being stopped ?

    Where were the Gardai ?

I can’t move here in North Wicklow without meeting a checkpoint.

They didn't get there in the first place, nor did they try to.

The whole post lockdown mass exodus from Limerick (and other cities) was a fallacy, the result of over zealous WhatsApp, Facebook and curtain twitcher groups spreading misinformation and bull. The majority of people exiting the cities were irresponsible adult children heading "back home" to their elderly parents houses with their kids.

If posts are reported they are dealt with, moderators don't have to give an on thread explanation as to their actions.

But because you asked on thread as to why a post was deleted I'll now respond on thread.

Your post quoted another post that was deleted so deleting your post was a quick way of dealing with it.
Your post could be seen to "attack the poster not the post" which is against posting rules.
Your post could be seen as backseat moderating which is against post rules.

The only thing on the IT website mentions Kerry, not Clare. Not sure if both related.
    https://www.irishtimes.com/news/social-affairs/kerry-asylum-seekers-ask-to-be-moved-after-quarantine-introduced-at-centre-1.4243157
Nearly 80 asylum seekers have asked to be relocated from the town of Cahersiveen in Co Kerry after quarantine measures were introduced at the direct provision centre where they are living....The residents also criticised the Government for moving people from a Dublin hotel to Cahersiveen despite the HSE raising concerns around the transfer of more than 100 refugees during the pandemic.

    now this is a disgrace.

i know the hotel used and it would never be suitable for housing guests in a pandemic. shameful behaviour by those in charge and also totally wrong for the people placed in this environment.

The fact that no testing was done on people transferred was equally disgusting. Cahersiveen is a small community and introducing this virus through moving people (through no fault of their own) was a BAD decision for these people and also a rather elderly population in that area.
