Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    We have had a lot of rain recently and whilst there is more heavy rain to come this week, there are signs for some more prolonged drier weather to develop later next week, at least in the south and east. Before then we have a very windy day on Saturday but with that temperatures will be significantly above average for April.

    04/04/24 - Storm Kathleen - Met Office Weather Forecast

    This is a Met Office UK Weather forecast looking at Storm Kathleen recorded on 04/04/2024.

    It has been a few months since we had a named storm, and now here comes Storm Kathleen. An seasonably deep area of low pressure will push up from the southwest bringing very strong winds to western parts of the UK on Saturday, and far northern areas on Sunday. As well as the disruptive winds, Storm Kathleen will drag in very warm air lifting temperatures above 20C in the southeast on Saturday.

    Weekend Weather 04/04/2024 – Very windy but also some warmth - Met Office UK Forecast

    Storm Kathleen has been named by the Irish weather service it will bring the UK some unusually windy weather for the time of year. Met Office warnings are in place. As well as more rain and very strong winds we will get some high temperatures this weekend, especially on Saturday.
