I just recently started trainging at home on a bag. I keep brusing up my hands and cutting my knuckels. I have padded hand wraps. It strating to get painfull to work on the bag with the cuts. Does anyone know what the best gloves/wraps are to get. Thanks

Have you been using gloves as well as the wraps?

You should never hit a bag without gloves and wraps.

They are a like a padded glove with a wrap at the end but dont cover all of my fingers.

When your hands become toughened and accustomed only then will you be able to do bag work with your hands remaining intact. But, no matter how tough your hands become, if you do not have either good padded gloves, OR good wraps, you will bust up your knuckles.

They are useless. Buy hand wraps that you wrap yourself, that way you can give extra protection to sore/fragile areas, and get a pair of bag gloves to go over them.

It's not just cuts and bruises that I'd be worried about - if you hit a bag and you hand is in an awkward position you could easily sustain a fracture or a sprain if you don't have sufficient protection.

They're just gel wraps, you'll make **** of your hands in no time if your not wearing gloves and wraps. I'd change the gel wraps every few months as well, even if they look ok they loose there effectiveness with use

As mentioned above, Get Wraps and learn to wrap your hands properly.

One bad contact with a heavy bag and the cuts will be the least of your worries.

Thanks lads. I'l sort that and wont train again until i get some proper gear. Dont fancy breaking a wrist fannying about on the bag. Cheers
