Harvey Kietel. Ok he's over 70, but to go from Scorcese ensemble member to Oscar in the 90s and today hamming it up for British motor insurance ads is an embarrassing fall...

To be fair, it'd be quicker to list Hollywood actors who haven't starred in a commercial; Kietel's in good company.

A bit of a silly swipe. Many actors, even still in their prime, appear in all kinds of ads. Usually outside of the States mind you.

He had a very cool little role in The Grand Budapest Hotel last year.

It could be argued that things started to go right again for Nicolas Cage with Kick-Ass. It's a shame it was temporary.

It all went right for Tom Hardy following 6 years of doing small roles after the disastrous Star Trek: Nemesis in 2002.

In 2008 he got the role in Bronson and the rest is history. The Dark Knight Rises. Inception. And the highly acclaimed role in Locke.

    What about Helen Hunt

Is that some kind of rhyming slang for Val Kilmer?

There was My Cousing Vinny . Stupid plotline but hilarious to watch none he less.

    Great movie.

Vinny Gambini: It is possible that the two yutes...
Judge Chamberlain Haller: ...Ah, the two what? Uh... uh, what was that word?
    Vinny Gambini: Uh... what word?
    Judge Chamberlain Haller: Two what?
    Vinny Gambini: What?
Judge Chamberlain Haller: Uh... did you say 'yutes'?
    Vinny Gambini: Yeah, two yutes.
Judge Chamberlain Haller: What is a yute?
Vinny Gambini: [beat] Oh, excuse me, your honor...
    [exaggerated]
    Vinny Gambini: Two YOUTHS

Vinny Gambini: Does that freight train come through here at 5:00 A.M. every morning?
Hotel Clerk: No, sir, it's very unusual.
Vinny Gambini: [the next day, after Vinny was awakened by the train] Yesterday you told me that freight train hardly ever comes through here at 5:00 A.M. in the morning.
Hotel Clerk: I know. She's supposed to come through at ten after 4:00.

Vinny Gambini: [opening statements] Uh... everything that guy just said is bull****... Thank you.
D.A. Jim Trotter: Objection. Counsel's entire opening statement is argumentative.
Judge Chamberlain Haller: Sustained. Counselor's entire opening statement... with the exception of "thank you"... will be stricken from the record.

    Joe Pesci.

Havnt seen him in or heard of him been in anything in literally years.

I think his portrayal of Tommy in Goodfellas was a blessing and a curse.

It was a once in a lifetime role and be played it exceptionally but for a non traditional looking actor where was there to go.

My Cousin Vinny is a lot of fun and he played the same character in Casino as he did in Goodfellas.

Meg Ryan - gorgeous girl-next-door type, America's sweatheart, a string of hits in the 90s. Last half-decent film was 1998's You've Got Mail (though I actually have a bit of a soft spot for 2001's Kate & Leopold). Then an awful encounter with the surgeon's knife and a split from Dennis Quaid and no decent roles since.

Funnily enough Jennifer Grey also went under the knife to get her nose straightened, and then nobody recognised her as the girl from 'Ferris Bueller...' and 'Dirty Dancing'. Work dried up.

I think he was another star who was difficult to work with - which means people are very ready to drop you.

Keanu Reeves is apparently the opposite: he always shows up on time and sober, knows his own lines, knows everyone else's lines, never causes a delay or a missed deadline.

He's not a very good actor, but he never causes any grief for the production, so if you're looking for reliable...

Where did it all go wrong for Alex Winter?

On a happy note it certainly seems to have all gone right for Domhnall Gleeson.

I don't think anyone's made a movie anywhere in the past 12 months without him.

Great to see, seems like a sound lad.
