Please put sites that are taking care of the Irish VAT here please, so we can keep them all in one place.

Amazon, once it is sold by and fulfilled by Amazon, over €22ish
Amazon, once under €22ish, no VAT which is fine. No Irish VAT, no charges.

    Sports Direct Ireland.
Long story short even though the company is registered in the UK the invoice shows Vat number: IE3415318BH

So sports direct Ireland will charge you Irish vat and it should be business as usual post brexit

This will only affect a small number of people but I ordered pyjamas from scratchsleeves.co.uk for the baby and the packages arrived today. They were correctly labelled as baby clothes and neither UK or Irish VAT was charged.

The White Company (who have a store in Dublin and Kildare) are covering and if you do get asked to pay, pay it and send the receipts in for a refund.

I wouldn't be certain about M&S Ireland. Yes they charge Irish VAt but the website says that any customs duty will have to be paid on delivery. I saw them say the same to a query on Twitter too.

    Email from Neom Organics yesterday:

"Our aim has always been to help boost the nation’s wellbeing, and that has never been more important than it is now. SO... Our teams have been working their magic to ensure you can still get your NEOM fix in the exact same way as before!

In line with the new Brexit changes, all EU shipments as of the 1st January 2021 are being sent as 'Delivered Duty Paid', which means NEOM will cover any additional customs charges applied to your order.

We are pleased to let you know that you don't need to worry about any additional charges being applied to your NEOM goodies... YAY!

    Love,
    NEOM x"

    Hi,

I'm hoping to purchase a GPS watch from Garmin online. Its Garmuns direct international site I think it ships from the UK. Would a company like Garmin be setup for the brexit side of things. The checkout page for the item i want lists the subtotal at €275.21 and the "estimated tax" at €57.79 giving a total of €333. Can I expect to pay any further charges? Delivery costs are free over €30.

I have just got off the phone to Garmin. They say there are no extra costs....

    CPC - https://cpcireland.farnell.com/

Response from their sales co-ordinator: "All charges are shown at the checkout stage of the web site there are no additional fees upon the order arriving into Ireland"

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,591 ✭✭✭Kat1170

    www.surfdome.com

If duty applies to your order, it will be delivered duty paid (DDP) to EU countries which means Surfdome will pre-pay the duty, customers will not be asked to pay any additional customs fee.

Got an Osprey backpack, nothing extra to pay. Irish vat charged at checkout.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,016 ✭✭✭jos22

from the op overclockers also do not prepay the vat,

    from their own site

Brexit & Republic of Ireland: Due to restrictions imposed by import processes, we are no longer able to charge Irish VAT on orders. Customers will be contacted by the carrier to arrange payment of the relevant import taxes prior to delivery.

  • Registered Users Posts: 955 ✭✭✭Poncke

And that fine as long as they remove the UK VAT when you purchase the item

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,016 ✭✭✭jos22

the thread title is "Sites paying Irish VAT - no extra charges" so good that you are not paying double vat but extra charges do apply once it arrives in Ireland,
