Gibneys pledge €1000 for funk guitar!

Dublin band New Colour Soul who enjoyed chart success with a top 20 single last year were one of the acts of note on the Tsunami Fundraiser held in Gibneys, Malahide and proprietor Tony Gibney, outbid all competition for a signed guitar donated by the band, raising €1,000 for the Charity.

The fundraising event in Gibneys of Malahide raised the roof and close to €20,000 for Tsunami relief this Sunday. Organised by a group of volunteers led by Wes Singleton of Loose Change, the day comprised of live music and comedy from the early afternoon until late in the evening, with raffles and auctions throughout the day.

Eurovision star Paul Harrington, Ditch Cassidy and Loose Change entertained the massive crowds until closing time, with comedian compere Brendan Burke holding court. The running total at the end of the day was over €17,000, with many pledges and donations still to be counted. New Colour Soul play the Sugar Club on the 18th February.
