Been snowing in Tipp Town since about 11. We had very heavy rain earlier in the night. Sticking on cars/grass.

    A 6c drop in 59 minutes.

Currently 3.4c with a dewpoint of 2.5c. Getting closer to snow territory. Plenty of 0c and 1c badges out west and to the SW on the WUndermap.

Rainfall in the AWS is now 15.0mm. That's a fair sup.

The cold air doesn’t seem to be coming into Ulster which is odd given the airmass is the same temp.

Unreal drop in temperatures in Fethard, Tipp! https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/IFETHARD2

Yeah but if you look on a live temperature map. The colder temps and more abrupt drops are way down south.

Letterkenny here seems to be 4c for ex, which is a far cry from their 0c

I'd estimate it is snowing in Roscrea, sleet in Nenagh

Side question here: on the windy app which of the model options is best in terms of now-casting?

It’s odd how much evaporative cooling there is down south, given the high RH and relatively warm 850hpa’s temps. In most scenarios this would prob have temps of 5c, but there is a narrow corridor of 0-1c.

Just had 2 power cuts here, both lasted less than a minute. Had very heavy rain half an hour ago and the temp has dropped by 2.5c since.

Down here near tipperary town it was raining hard at 11 pm and now two hours later looks like we've has good bit of white gold. Will it be there in the morning when I wake up? Who knows.

Small squall line approaching the Dublin/Meath/Wicklow coasts from the west so temps will be starting a tumble here soon.
