    Addition to the Charter

    Taxation threads

    This forum is set up to deal with questions on accountancy and the accountancy profession in general.

    It is beyond the scope of this forum to provide complex tax planning advice or opinions due to the consequences of incorrect or inaccurate advice being given.

    There is also already, a specific forum on boards.ie that deals with tax questions. You may indeed get a better answer to your query over there.

    Only very simple tax questions are allowed here if and only if;

    1) the answer to the question is readily available on www.revenue.ie
    AND
    2) the question only involves one type of tax.

    So for example

    "What is the current registration threshold for VAT? for services" = Allowed
    "How do I minimise the tax payable on the sale of my business" = Not Allowed

    Any other tax thread that dose not fall into the above criteria will be locked.

    Also no property threads please due to the scale of the monies involved and the consequences of incorrect or inaccurate advice.

    When it comes to taxes, always seek professional advice, an online forum is no substitute.

    Thanks

    dbran
