Picked up a nice top of the range jacket from Mountain Wearhouse for 120 yday, reduced from 240. I'm usually a total cheapskate if I can be, but guess I'm getting more serious about skiing. Ya cant put a price on being dry and warm when out from 1st to the last lift of the day.

Bits beginning to show up in TK Max in Stephens Green. Some Ladies spyder gloves, Oakley mittens and semi mittens. Spyder hats (one of which I bought). Proper Ski socks showing up a swell. More trousers, jackets but didn't see much in the way of quality.

Picked up Black Diamond Anthem Avalung 26L for £83. The 28L is still up on Amazon from BIKESTER, one left... Great bag for the price

Plenty of good stuff turning up in TK Maxx recently, they see to be hitting peak stocks now, Spyder, Solomon, Oakley. Mountains of Killtec stuff this year (pardon the pun) no idea what its like.

Saw lots of good stuff in Blanch TK Maxx today

Odd question, but have people been seeing decent ski socks in the TK Maxx's around Dublin? They're horifically expensive where I live and I'll be back in Dublin at the end of the month...

    Yes but define horifically expensive?

Ive seen Solomon, Spyder, HH and Smartwool. All about 10-12 a pair which I would have said was a good price.

That is a good price! About double that here, and nothing worse than paying 20 euro for a pair of socks! Where'd you see the smartwool ones, out of interest? Thanks!

TK Maxx Stephens green couple of weeks ago, I bought a rake of them for my self :D

Right now (I was in there today) there are loads of Spyder and HH not sure about the Smartwool ones but I wasn't looking specifically. Loads of ladies ones (hidden away in another section) also.

There's talk of Aldi snowgear coming over on SnowHeads. Apparently merino socks and baselayers which sounds pretty good!

TK Maxx in Cork have some decent stuff at the moment.
    Some Salomon, O'Neill, Bonfire jackets.
    Reusch and Level gloves.
    HH, K2 and Columbia socks.

Last year it was the 5th of December so I'd imagine it'll be the same time this year!

3rd of December this year, I confirmed it with Aldi!

I picked up a Quiksilver Gore Tex jacket in TK Maxx Swords for €100, was two or three left, large I think.

Good find. Quicksilver filed for bankruptcy last September. Was wondering where their stuff would end up.

Handy back up, especially if you suffer from a sweaty forehead and fogged up googles like me!! 100% Merino wool top for 21.99, I'll definitely be queuing for one of those

Really? Goggles do look cheap but ok. Is the top a good price?

I went along to Aldi yesterday to get a golf training thing for my brother. Cheap and cheerful. Perfect Christmas gift as all we buy each other is a laugh at this stage. They had zero items from an extensive list of items due on the 26th. I'm not referring to tv's or bluetooth sound bars. I mean cheap stuff like kids toys, scarfs, womens creams and ****. I had a look online and it seems they only deliver some of the "specialbuys" to some stores in very limited numbers.

    Thurs 26th items https://www.aldi.ie/en/specialbuys/thur-26-nov/

Anyone ever buy anything from: http://shop.epictv.com ?

Pricing helmets and they seem to be 50% cheaper than the next nearest if you sign up to be a member (which is free).

    Am I missing something here?

    https://shop.epictv.com/en/helmets/salomon/prophet-c-air-2015?sku=SAL15PROSBMO

    http://www.blue-tomato.com/en-IE/product/Salomon-Prophet+C+Air+Helmet-301810614-black+mat+orange/

EDIT: Ah, I see the epictv one is the 2015 model versus the 2016 on blue tomato. Still a great price. Curious if anyone has any experience with them.

Yeah I've had that problem before with some of their stuff, they do generally get the stuff but often days late.

Where does it say 2016? Looks identical.

It doesn't explicitly say it on blue tomato but it does say it's "new" so I'm guessing it is this years.

On epictv it has both models (which look identical) but the 2015 is half the price.
