Fair enough.

In its defence, ME's job is to look at the big picture and they did specifically mention the danger of localised spot flooding in the South West from Tuesday night through Wednesday.

Overcast, wet and quite breezy (F6-7?) in Cork city.

Starting to brighten a bit in the west, but I'm not expecting much improvement.

Deluges of rain here this morning. What I wouldn’t give to be in Malaga or Lanzarote this morning.

Showers going through, mainly overcast so far but a bit of sunlight bursting through now, still plenty of dark cloud about though so expecting more showers.

2.6mm so far

11.9C

Winds S'ly. Nothing of note just a bit breezy atm, will see if it strengthens. ECM showing strong winds here in Kerry in the early afternoon, other models not as keen but still a bit windy.

How can met eireann get a forecast so wrong not a mention of rain all day for Dublin airport in the taf yet it's bucketing down right now. The rain is clearly visible on the radar too.

I wonder how long it'll be for the usual 'amd' forecast to pop up.
