Not likely to happen but I would love to see Beaton win it for old times sake!

Seems to be one of the nicest players in darts.

I would love if Beaten wins this, he's definitely one of the most likeable players out there.

    Semi Finals

    Price v Aspinall
    Cross v Price

should be two quality games, esp the first
I think Cross has been fortunate enough to get this far, hasn't played well, expect Smith to win

first game is closer, both playing well

Price with the double chance. Must be nice for him

    Nervy opening legs.

Price is poor, giving Aspinall an ass load of chances. Aspinall not playing at his best either and needs all the chances he can get.

I love watching the passion of these two. Good game now.

    Nervy stuff
Delighted for Aspinall, even though I had Price backed at 20/1 🙄

Cross hasn't turned up at all, lucky to get it to 5-3 there.

Not a great final at all so far, Aspinall 6-4 up.

Cross needs a miracle, playing terrible.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,992 ✭✭✭boomdocker

    yep,both averaging below 90.. - a lot at stake I suppose

He's probably world no.1 on form for the last 4 weeks. Backed Aspinall e/w at 22-1 last night, looks reasonable value now.
Get in-great finish, actually got him at 25-1. Poor final like every other UK Open final, there has never been a close one, 11-8 in 2007 was the tightest.A long day/weekend for them.

    Nice one!

Great finish to win it in fairness, and played well all weekend

fell down the list of much watch events

Technical difficulties meant I missed the second semi final and final although I hear I didn't miss much.

Nevertheless, congratulations to Nathan Aspinall. I think we all knew before the tournament that he was a top player but this title makes it indisputable.

UK Open was at first promoted as the FA Cup of darts.

Like the FA Cup it seems like a shadow of the tournament it once was.

Last tournament I enjoyed was the matchplay in July.
