Spotted a bird above buildings knew it was some type of bird of prey. It remained at the top of a very tall building for a couple of minutes then got involved swopping about chasing a feral pidgeon. Thought initially a sparrowhawk but when I got to see it fly below me it was a different shape and darker in colour. Anybody tell me what type of bird it was? It was unsuccessful in its attempt to catch the pidgeon.

    Thanks

    Peregrine?

Yes that is what I was thinking but was interested to hear peoples thoughts. Great to be able to see these birds in urban areas.
