BA1 currnetly flying lcy to snn, is that a normal route looks very convoluted.

That routing is commonplace. Probably routed that way due to traffic congestion over the more direct Strumble route. I notice it's more usual for RYR to use the Northerly route from the London airports to Shannon than Aer Lingus. There may be other reasons too, that I'm not aware of.

Was watching "Heathrow - Britain's Busiest Airport" the other day and was surprised that their planner uses FR24 to track a lot of their inbound flights. I thought there might be some more industry designed system. Or I suppose it's maybe the other way around and FR24 is a publicly available system.

EI-DEC flew nearly 7 hours to Abu Dhabi on Friday night? Or an FR24 error...

It did yes, EI do some maintenance in AUH. Coincidently it’s on the move now!

LH452 Munich to LAX performed a large z shaped zigzag between Greenland and Canada, anyone got any idea why such a manoeuvre would be performed mid-flight?

What you mean is that FR24 showed such a track. That's an area of very limited coverage, I imagine. If you look at the flight's track east of Greenland, it lines up fairly closely with the track heading west, omitting the suggested zig-zag.

Coverage is not great in that area so probably just a plotting fault with FR24.

EI3806 (EI-FAT) looks like it’s diverting to DUB (ORK - EDI), it circled over Ards peninsula a few times then turned back, anyone know the reason?

Without any passengers, bags or freight the A320 range is huge.

BA1 is an all-business A318, flies daily from LCY to SNN, refuels while passengers complete US customs, and leaves again for JFK. On the way back (because the runway is longer at JFK) it can go direct from JFK to LCY.

An unusual sounding jet just flew over Clondalkin, but nothing is coming up on FR24. I had thought that maybe it was the government jet, but I couldn't see anything outside.

Come to think of it, there has been a lot of helicopters flying around D1 over the last few days. Any ideas? It's not the coastguard as nothing is showing on the marine tracker.

How come the domestic routes from Connemara to each of the Aran Islands don’t show up on FlightRadar?
My OH and I noticed this when we were on Inis Mór, but other privately operated small prop aircraft seem to show up.

The Aer Arann Islands aircraft don’t have ADS-B transponders which FR24 primarily uses to identify aircraft. Normally when an aircraft without an ADS-B transponder is visible on FR24, it’s using FR24’s multilateration technique, but this requires the aircraft to be within the range of 4 FR24 receivers. As a result, it’s got either poor or no coverage at low altitudes or in remote areas.

EI-CUW has shown up on FR24 when at Shannon before

Next time, try here to include military aircraft.

Yes, I watched "What Britain Exports and Imports in a day" last night on BBC, and they focused on Heathrow.

The main Operations centre in Heathrow they showed the guy who manages the gate allocations/usage, and he uses FlightRadar 24 to monitor the flights en route to LHR, allows him to shuffle in an additional flight to a gate if he knows the inbound is X hours late.

Belgian naval ship departed Dublin Port yesterday too, likely NATO exercises off Scotland.

At FL270 that looks like a normal transatlantic flight to me. The Belgian C-130s are fairly regular overfliers between Brussels and the USA/Canada.
