Depends on the sportsbook looking at what are some are saying. O my money is going to shift odds with some of the bigger ones.

Goddamnit that Pelicans team is really becoming a nice little team.

Must be a killer for 76ers fans. So close and now likely Reddick and Butler gone, huge although they could still get something back in sign and trade for Butler

Definitely going to be interesting to see how they come together

They must have immense faith in Simmons finding some magic beans and learning to shoot.

Kings get Dedmon, Barnes and Trevor Ariza who still manages to steal good money. Happy we made some moves I guess.

Going to burn my Durant jersey now, what a traitor !! NOT
He had a fantastic run here and served the team well, pity he couldn’t get another ring here but iam sure he will be competing in more finals in the future
A little bit surprised he went to the Nets, Knicks fans must be like, wtf

Rubio to the Suns. The Suns have got a ****ing PG.

Brogdon to the Pacers. Bucks get some future draft picks.

    I'm not sure they are.

Oddsshark has him favourites to stay at the Raptors

    Raptors -125
    Clippers +190
    Lakers +190

The Knicks and owner Jim Dolan were not prepared to offer Kevin Durant a full max contract due to concerns over his recovery from the Achilles injury, league sources tell me and @wojespn. Knicks officials are in Los Angeles tonight, meeting with free agents such as Julius Randle.

Horford to 76ers, Butler to Miami. The chances of Kawhi staying rise.

Thought the knicks would take a chance on kd.

The Knicks are right for once. The Nets will rue tonight’s business in time. A five year full max where year 1 is a write off and year 2 is a 32 year old off recovery from a catastrophic achilles injury? Nope, not for me.

Golden State and Brooklyn have agreed on a sign-and-trade, sending D’Angelo Russell to the Warriors on a four-year, $117M maximum contract, league sources tell ESPN.

Iggy on the way out and Russel in by the looks of it
I don’t like all this change, hate to see iggy leave but that’s how it goes

What's the idea of the Russell trade a year from now though.
Steph, Klay & Russell all to start together?

I wonder given Russell is off the board now, does that mean that the Lakers fancy their chances at Kawhi.

Horford, Harris & Josh Richardson is a better combo than Harris & Butler. Pity about JJ but that's a decent return.

KD is one of the best to ever do it but there is little evidence that players recover from achilles injuries let alone those which occur at 30+ to 7ft players.
I think Dolan as you say will be commended for this in a few years assuming they can do something else in the meantime.

Hinkie only received the praise after he left, fans aren't patient so although I agree with the decision, I think fans can also feel aggrieved.

Randle & Gibson aren't bad acquisitions. Randle with an improved 3pt shot wouldn't surprise me as an All Star in the future.

I think they likely see it as a low risk, buy low move with a view to flipping him in the future after Klay returns. Or if he works out really well Steph’s replacement in time?

He could be trade able, but the sign and trade does mean he’s getting his max rate.

Fantastic move by him too. I love it tbh, more for him than GSW for his development, Steph can help take him t8 another level

Golden State is trading Andre Iguodala to the Memphis Grizzlies, league source tells ESPN. Warriors are sending a 2024 protected first-round pick in the 2024 (protected 1-4), 2025 (protected 1) and 2026 unprotected.

Maybe those picks won’t end up being high selections but that was expensive.

Iggy also a huge loss to them in terms of team function in the playoffs

    Sixers:

    Simmons / Richardson / Harris / Horford / Embiid

    Well now

He’s getting today’s max. Look at how things have risen even from the crazy 2016 summer to now, by the time he’s eligible for next contract his current one could look like a value contract - it’s all relative. Another crude way of looking at it is I’d rather be giving a guy aged 23 a max than a guy aged 30.

I think it’s a good return for GS (esp. considering the alternative was zero) but as Hitch alluded to a potentially great move for Russell.

looking at the long term , but what do ye think of 76ers @ 10/1 at the moment ?

Could spend €1000 worse over the course of a year ....

10/1 is value “fo sho” but I’m not sure I’d be putting €1k on it. They were VERY close this year, and if Embiid stays healthy who knows? Lots of risk built into it, but I like the additions. You could do a lot worse. It’s a 3/4 horse race in the East and they are there or thereabouts, they could have won it all this year and will be in the mix next year.

Based on everything such as complimentary skillsets, current NBA, areas of team weakness and inability to beat him.
Is there a better pick up and subsequent combo than Embiid and Horford. I can't think of a frontcourt pairing in the past 10 years maybe even longer that's more complimentary to one another and the trajectory of the NBA in their own epoch.
They could be a scary combo.

76ers look decent but for me it comes down to two factors one internal and another external.

Internally, how do they round out the roster with no cap space and limited market for shooters. LBJ will convince a chunk of the decent vet min guys to join him so the market will be very thin.

Externally what does the new king do, if Kawhi leaves it basically means you only have to beat the Bucks, cuts your competition to get to the finals in half. If he stays then it's not as enticing.

I'd take 10s if I was convinced Kawhi leaves but if you're unsure I'd lean towards the odds being a relatively fair price.

I'd still think Celtics are going to be strong. Locker room should be a bit better without Kyrie and whilst Horford is a loss, you've still got Kemba, Brown, Tatum and Hayward as starters.

If Raptors lose Kawhi, I can't see them competing for the conference. Probably be 4th or 5th seed.

Yeah I tend to agree on reflection. I thought Kemba was expensive but his shortcomings are not particularly when compared to Kyrie.

Kyrie is a slightly better shooter, defender and overall better player but look what Stevens got from IT so perhaps the additional camaraderie plus Hayward with an off season and the Kyrie->Kemba gap won't be as evident as on most other teams.

Certainly softened on Kemba being a bad investment.
