Just asking about refund of the €80 - i'm still within cooling off period.

Are you chatting online to them? My phone is unopened, so I might get a refund and reorder if I can't get the money back.

You have 14 days. Even if opened. My number wasn't even ported - was rejected.
You will have to send it back. Still chatting with them.

Do you have to have the sim(dummy one to be ported) before you buy the phone?

Have a quick read over the thread. Eir do one for a tenner. One person suggested he knew someone who gave their own number then cancelled the switchover. Can't vouch for that myself though.

I was wrong thinking that you can return it when opened - looks like you can't. Oh well just ordered another one for my partner.

Just on to Tesco mobile chat and they said I can pick one up for free in store. Race is on!

You can't return it when opened or some networks will charge you for usage of the phone. So i will have to keep it.

How were you chatting to them? Chat on their site says no agents, and it doesn't let me wait. I called em, can only schedule a callback.

Sounds like a partial refund is out of the question then?

I chated online - took me like 20 minutes to finish the chat - was waiting in the line.
No chance to get to them over the phone.
Partial refund not with vodafone - not over the chat anyway - he said that from time to time price is changing and they can't do anything about that(even within the 14 day coolin off period) - unless phone wouldn't be opened then you can return it even to the shop.

I have just ordered one at €179, my eir sim never ported so just used it again to re-order, if the 2nd phone arrives I will return the first one to the vodafone shop as its still sealed and unopened.

    Not free, €15 it cost.

    Got 2 there!

    Didn't care.

    Now to get this sorted.

I've just ordered an EIR sim for free

The cost of €15 was for credit as had to be bought so I'll just pass that on and even get a few euro for it. Sim card is free but:

New customers get a FREE SIM with a €15 top-up

Misleading from the online chat. I'll chance my arm with them. If they want 15 euro I'll leave it off and wait for the eir sim to arrive.

The Transactions are showing on my card though, what a pain in the hole

Ordered, in space of half an hour, bought Tesco Sim (€15 credit required, which I can pass on).

Put Tesco sim into my unlocked Redmi, got verification code.

Selected click and collect as option for delivery.

    Payment made of €179.

    Email received to confirm order.

Phone will be ready to collect in local store next Monday / Tuesday.

Thanks for the heads up OP!

Is the screen not a bit small by modern standards ?

This phone is all about the camera, which is similair to 500eur+ phones. The rest of it such as other hardware and aesthetics are IMO lacking. Still a steal!

Depends on what you want. A lot of people don't want a 6 1/2 or 7 inch screen.

I know a good few people who don't want to go above a 5 inch screen and have loads of trouble getting new phones.

Ordered my free Eir sim when this deal was first posted but didn't bother going for it at €250. Too good a deal to turn down now at €180 and luckily had the free sim in reserve. Might order another free sim to have just in case in the future. Cheers OP!

    so free is not free?
I ordered one, also ordered a 48 sim, does that work for free?
