Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

I noticed today that The Irish Independent has gone from €2.00 to €2.20! No wonder people are going online to read their news! How do they justify this price hike? I didnt notice if other papers upped their prices.

Indo went up and the IT didnt follow - which is unusual. Mail (daily and Sunday) went up - Daily Star before xmas and Sunday World as well
