Another rip thread. This time Peter O'Reilly who passed away very recently. I was talking to my father yesterday about Peters passing and commented that every fly angler in the country probably had the books river's of Ireland, lough's of Ireland or flies of Ireland on their book shelf. I have all three and still read them very regularly. I actually throw them in the car if traveling up the country just to see Peter's take on any river or lake.

    Tight lines and RIP

    I fully agree.
I returned to fly fishing over ten years ago and my son and I had a lesson from Peter (and enjoyed his hospitality) at his home in Navan at the time.
His enthusiasm and encouragement were responsible for ten very enjoyable years with the Bective Angling Club on the Boyne, and hopefully many more.
Fly fishing in Ireland and Flies of Ireland are on my shelf.
    A sad loss.
    RIP
