Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    We're a hard rock band formed in Durham. We want to evoke the spirit of 80s metal and 90s alternative rock. Our songs are often science themed: Stars (a modern love ballad completely written with Astrophysics lexemes), Chemistry 101 (a riff-fueled tune containing only Biochemistry locution), and Blackhole – our tribute to the funk rock genre (it's about a scientist who goes crazy and develops a love fixation for the blackhole in outer space that he's studying, hoping to "mate" with it). With these songs, we field the question, ‘Can science be romantic?’
