Well, while shopping the other day, I spied a rather good deal and nabbed me two Megadeth CDs! Peace Sells, and So Far... So Good... So what! Man, this takes me back years, back to the age of tapes, and watching Beavis & Butthead, despite my Da's objections.

Unfortunately, there's a lot of great albums from the era of tapes that are simply not listened to any more, as I've not got a tape deck on my PC... Such as all the best Metallica albums. For shame really, since I've got everything from The Black Album up to S&M on CD. My favourite Pantera album, Cowboys From Hell, I don't have on CD either.

I really got to get more of the old albums I once had on tape replaced by CD again.

    But I digress...

    MEGADETH ROCK! \m/  \m/

I love Megadeth...Even though nowadays Dave Mustaine's gone a little more bonkers than before...he said in an interview in a Catholic magazine that he doesnt want to have any association with black metal satanic bands

Only start listening to Megadeth about a year ago and it's how I got into them, getting all the albums on sale, it was great:D

Not sure if you still can, but it certainly used to be the case that once you owned something on one format, a copy on any other format, no matter how you aquire it, it considered a backup. So, if you downloaded something you already had on vinyl you weren't breaking the law.

The EU brought in a directive in 2003 that allowed such things as freezing your assets and searching your house without a warrant if you were found to be doing such things, but it had to be ratified by each member state, and I don't think we have ratified it yet (although I know it's been ratified in the UK)

God I remember listening to all the early Oasis tuff on tape. Then CDs came and I never looked back.
"So far, so good..." is a horrible album though. Waaay sub-par for Mustaine.

Megadeth are great and they're great guys too. Met the new line-up after the show in February. Dave is great he's a sharp-witted man so watch out for him making fun of ya. CTE would prolly be my fav album closely followed by RIP

Are the remastered cd's worth re-getting? I have all the albums in their original form but I really liked the mixes on back to the start!

I recently found my bootleg tape of the gig here in 1988, my first ever gig. Man, that brought back some memories. It's absolutley staggering, the difference between crowd response then and now.

(Then was way better, by a long, long, long, long way) :)

The re-mixes are ok, some parts were re-recorded and some of the mixes aren't anywhere near as goos as the originals. They're clearer but they lack the balls. Keep your originals :D
