    An email I just got about it:
    From: Colin Fowler
    Sent: Tuesday 1 June 2021 18:54
    To: E-Male Matters Mailing List
    Subject: Invitation to a Men's Health Week Webinar with Mayo GAA Legend David Brady

    Dear Colleague,

    It won’t be long now until we celebrate Men’s Health Week 2021, which will run from Monday 14th - Sunday 20th June. You can find out everything that you need to know about the week / how to mark it / where to get resource materials at: https://www.mhfi.org/mhw/mhw-2021.html Any support that you can offer to this important occasion will be gratefully received - even something as simple as mentioning it on your social media and using the hashtag #MensHealthWeek

    Many events will be taking place across the island of Ireland (both online and offline). One of these will focus upon helping organisations and practitioners to engage more effectively with men around their health and wellbeing. This free event - titled 'The How of Men’s Health' - will take place on Wednesday 16th June 2021, from Noon to 1.15pm. Registration for the webinar is available at: https://tinyurl.com/2vct28jt

    At this event, you will hear from local projects about: the fears that some men have about joining a health programme; key elements of the engagement process; and practical examples of how to connect effectively with men. The special guest is Mayo GAA legend David Brady who, during COVID, found a unique way to connect with men through a shared interest in Gaelic Football.

    I hope you have a great Men’s Health Week this year!

    Best wishes,

    Colin

    From: Colin Fowler
    To: E-Male Matters Mailing List
    Subject: Men's Health Week 2021 - Request for your Support
    Dear Colleague,

    I hope that you’re keeping well, and are looking forward to Men’s Health Week (MHW) 2021 - which begins on Monday 14th June. This is a final update on the resources available, and a request for your help in promoting the week in any ways that you can ...

    > Everything about MHW 2021 can be found online at: https://www.mhfi.org/mhw/mhw-2021.html

    > If you want to see the evidence for why we need to focus upon men’s health needs, check-out the ‘Men’s Health in Numbers’ publications at: https://www.mhfi.org/news/1096-men-s-health-in-numbers.html

    > The ‘Toolbox for Action’ briefing paper answers the most common questions about the week. It can be found at: www.mhfi.org/mhw2021toolbox.pdf

    > The MHW poster, badge, banner, logo, Facebook Cover Photo and Twitter Header Image can be downloaded from: www.mhfi.org/mhw/mhw-image-pack.html Please use any / all of these as you see fit. We also have most of the graphics in Irish and Polish too.

    > Each day of Men's Health Week has a theme (see: https://www.mhfi.org/mhw/mhw-2021.html#Tweet). However, any Post, Tweet or activity that you do at any time, on any day, on any men’s health topic, will be very welcome!

    > We now have a dedicated graphic for each thematic day of MHW 2021. These are available in both Facebook and Twitter-friendly formats: https://www.mhfi.org/mhw/mhw-image-pack.html#SocialMedia2021

    > For the latest developments / events, keep an eye to: www.facebook.com/MensHealthWeek and www.twitter.com/MensHealthIRL

    > The main hashtag for the week is #MensHealthWeek Please use this as widely as possible, but especially on the first day of MHW (i.e. Monday 14th June 2021).

    > The animation clip for the week is now on YouTube (https://youtu.be/IObdLFzjotM) and on the main MHW 2021 webpage. Please feel free to link to it, or embed it in your own website / social media platform.

    > Unfortunately, all 18,000 hard copies of the ‘Challenges and Choices’ Man Manual have now been given out. However, if you’d like to share the electronic version of it with anyone, you can download it from: https://www.mhfi.org/challenges2021.pdf

    > The Saturday of MHW is 'PLEDGE DAY' - wherein individuals and organisations are asked to make a simple and realistic pledge as to how they are going to improve men’s health in the future. Read more about it at: https://www.mhfi.org/mhw2021PledgeDay.pdf Would you be up for making a personal pledge and putting it online (along with the hashtag #MensHealthWeek) that day? Could you encourage others (especially anyone with a big social media following) to contribute to this?

    Anything that you can do to promote Men’s Health Week will be gratefully received. Please think about:

    • posting / tweeting about the week and using the hashtag #MensHealthWeek;
    • including the MHW Facebook Cover Photo or Twitter Header Image on your social media platforms;
    • attaching some of the MHW images to your outgoing emails for the week;
    • embedding the MHW animation on your own website or social media platform;
    • joining one of the events which are taking place (many of these are online);
    • passing on a copy of the Man Manual to the men in your life;
    • issuing a press release about your own work to support the health and wellbeing of men and boys;
    • making a personal / organisational commitment for change on ‘Pledge Day’ …

    There’s loads of simple and free ways to make a difference!

    Have a great Men’s Health Week 2021.

    All the best,

    Colin
