Bone found in gsrden

Hi,

Strange one here I'm hoping for some reassurance.

Doing a good bit of weeding in the garden and as I looked through the soil I noticed what to me looks a bit like a hip or leg bone. I'd say about 8cm in length

I'm fairly sure it's an animal bone. I don't know exactly where in the garden I found it but did a bit of digging and found no more. No I suppose the most likely explanation is a dog buried it.

Can someone tell me what it might be?

Very neatly cut. A passing vet or butcher might confirm ? bovine rib.

Tis a rib of beef.

I would say it was buried and forgotten by a dog.

Thanks. Makes sense as it's a front garden with a low wall, plenty of opportunity over the years for a dog to hide it.

A good chance if you keep digging you will find the dog who buried it
