I dont know the jury is out on this one for me. cork is the fastest track in the country and them bends are not tight.
looking at the pace he is showing I can understand why is he not in the bet fair 600 at the moment a classic..

MILLDEAN FOR CHECK UP & MISSES DUNNE OPEN
    24/04/2012
John O’Flynn Snr yesterday reported that Milldean Panther will bypass the Larry Dunne Open 525 which is due to commence this weekend and instead will have a thorough check up to determine if something is preventing him from breaking in his normal manner.
Though thrilled with the dog’s flying victory in the final of the Formula One Grand Prix at Curraheen Park on Saturday, John admitted that “we are puzzled why he is not getting out of the boxes better. He is bouncing here and appears to be in perfect condition and the times he is doing in his races prove that there is nothing major wrong. We are just wondering if something is preventing him from getting out of the boxes faster than he has been doing this year”.
On Saturday night he trailed the field in joint last place until the waters parted ahead of him on the bend. He then dived through the gap and left his rivals struggling in his wake as he raced to a seven length victory in 28.24.
Said John, “We won’t race him on Saturday but will give him a trial around Shelbourne in advance of having his next race there”.
It was a good weekend for the Tullaroan kennels as Milldean Tally landed a little touch in the Novice 750 at Curraheen on Saturday while Dear Pa was an impressive third round winner in the Red Mills Produce Stakes at Clonmel on Sunday.
Dear Pa is unbeaten in the Produce Stake and, while he has a slight problem, he is expected to be ready for duty on Sunday evening.

He didnt break in cork because they are different traps that are used in shelbourne towards the rest of the country, he's probably more used to them than the one in cork.
There's not a thing wrong with that dog he still done 28.24 . His head is not in the right place IMO.
I cant believe he's not going for the dunne 525! He'll be put into a A0 race where there will be no real competitions for him as all the other top class dogs are running in the Betfair 600, english derby or the Dunne 525.
Its a shame not to see him running at the top level these races are only like trials for him.

Looks like the Panther's on the comeback trail. International in Dundalk or the Champion Stakes seem to be the target. From Talking Dogs

Super tracker Milldean Panther is on his way back and has the Ladbrokes.com Irish Derby very much in his sights.
The brilliant son of College Causeway hasn’t run since winning the final of the Formula One Grand Prix at Curraheen Park on April 21st. Since then a back problem was detected but John O’Flynn Snr reported yesterday that the dog now appears to be over his problem.
"He is back galloping and we will keep on galloping him for another week before we think of giving him a trial which would probably be around Shelbourne or Dundalk.
"We have the Boylesports International at Dundalk in mind for him but the problem is that it is so close to the Champion Stakes. Whatever we do, the Derby is the number one target and we feel that the dog is coming right at just the right time”.

    BOYLESPORTS INTERNATIONAL DRAW
The draw with Boylesports’ betting is:

    1 RAZLDAZL GEORGE…………..7-2
    2 MILLDEAN TALLY……………12-1
    3 CABRA MILLIE…………………..9-1
    4 QUAIL HOLLOW……………….9-2
    5 KINGO………………………….....7-2
    6 MILLDEAN PANTHER………...6-4

It will be intersting to see how this one goes Milldean is a good price but I think the four dog could do it.

MILLDEAN OUT OF DERBY AND OFF TO STUD
    20/07/2012
The major news which blew up overnight is that Milldean Panther will not run in the forthcoming Ladbrokes Irish Derby and will not run again this year.
He will soon recommence his stud career but just where has not yet been announced.
John O’Flynn Snr confirmed the news this morning which will come as a major disappointment to greyhound followers who were looking forward to seeing him in action in the Derby.
Despite his Boylesports International defeat, Milldean was still either clear or joint favourite in all betting lists on the Derby but instead he will now be setting out on his second stint at stud.
Said O’Flynn Snr, “We are extremely disappointed as we thought he was coming into top form but I had him checked yesterday and he has an Achilles tendon injury. The good aspect of it is that it hasn’t gone up into the muscle but it would keep him out for a few months and the owners have decided that he will not race again this year and will instead go to stud for a while”.
The son of College Causeway and Auld Nag is the Shelbourne 525 record holder with a 28.00 run and would have been expected to give the 550 record a severe testing during the forthcoming Derby”.
Now we must all hope that this flying machine will return to action as good as ever in 2013.

This has since been confirmed, Mildean Panther is now with Dolores Ruth:

    30/07/2012
Clive Francis, joint owner of Milldean Panther, has confirmed that the brilliant tracker has now joined the Dolores Ruth kennels.
Rumours had been rife for some days to this effect and official confirmation came this morning in the form of a statement from Francis. It said:

“Following previous reports from John O’Flynn Jnr, we can confirm that the ongoing back problems and a recent injury to the Achilles tendon to Milldean Panther are evident that he has incurred serious career threatening injuries.

“With Milldean Panther’s best interests at the forefront; we have taken Veterinary Advice to treat his injuries first. Panther will go through intensive Veterinary Treatment and Physiotherapy, before any decision is taken on his future.

“Due to the extent of his injuries a decision has been made by his owners to put Milldean Panther under the care of Dolores Ruth. With veterinary supervision, Panther will be treated at Dolores Ruth’s establishment, where he will undergo intensive treatment & physiotherapy. Dolores has a specialty in bringing back badly injured dogs to soundness.

“Should the dog make a recovery, decisions on his future career will be made at that stage. There also has been a change of ownership for Milldean Panther.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank John O’Flynn Jnr for looking after Milldean Panther
