    A 1990 CE Starlet.

LOL DFX It takes a knowledge of registration numbers to spot the oldest cars on the road doesn't it?

'DF XUP' for example might be registered to a poor replica machine that no one would be interested in.

Keep forgetting about this tread - but since posting last

I saw a 1960s Austin Cambridge on Christmas day - friend of my brother owns it - and called over here on Christmas day.

Also last week - saw a Toyota Corolla saloon - on pre 87 plates - but it was the 83/84 to 87 era Corolla - so first generation of the front wheel drive Corollas.

The 88 Escort someone posted a picture looks great - I remember that colour on the likes of Orions and it suits the cars well in the flesh.

    Two FIATs!

I saw a white 1991 UNO a couple of weeks ago, and last spring a bright orange 1970s vintage 127 Sport, both in excellent condition.

I see a ZS (1984/85) Merc from time to time near my kids' schools, no badge on it but it's a big auld thing, I'd say a 280 or 300.

No wayyyy I thought they were all dead, you would hear the feckers before you could see them. A terrible piece of junk. The Solara was worse, remember the terrible ad's on telly. I saw your Solara outside the office.... It soon became I saw your Solara outside the garage/scrapyard etc.

I had an 83 Solara back in the 80s, I'd been working in a Ford dealership before, found the Solara to be a better car than the Escort but ugly as whatever. Anyone ever seen a Tagora? :)

Just seen a lovely looking 86 Corolla in mint condition. It didn't look like a normal Corolla. It looked very sporty looking.

    Fantastic looking car.

That's the very one Amanda. The one I saw was all black but every bit as immaculate as the one in your picture.

    What exactly was that model?

Theres a 92 Golf Mk 2 (one of the very last of the Mk 2s) which I see at Mass sometimes. Looks like someones daily driver rather than an enthusiast owned car.

They (Mk 2 Golfs) tended to hold up well in all fairness durability wise :)
