A better card on paper than last week's ppv and of course the guaranteed entertainment of the main event. Look at the stats! Gaethje's absorbed strikes per minute is particularly glaring.

feels like it's only gonna be a matter of time before cerrone gets knocked out imo anyway
I see no way how he gets a finish here, he'll have nothing left by the time justin tires

very surprised texeira is an underdog v krylov when you consider who both have fought, both of these have plenty of sub wins so it'll be interesting to
see how each approach this...I'll go with a sub win for tex

The flamboyant periera will bring his usual tricks into the octagon, a smaller johnny walker if ever there was one, this probably won't last long( watch the weigh ins;)

I think carlos jnr will smother hall for three rounds, 8/10 wins by sub yet uriah has never been subbed

I think this will be great card!

Tuning in for this, not too late and have an accumulator on the winner for each of the fights.

Two up so far and the fights have been excellent!!!

Going for Gaethje in the finale although feeling decidedly uneasy betting against Cowboy.

Also, have Texeira to win and Carlos Jnr to win, need to check who else I went for after my 50 50 eenie meenie miny moing

    Other winners =
    Sanchez
    Johns
    Katona
    Skelly
    Tybura
    Cirkunov

Skelly about as one dimensional as they come even moreso than the goat

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,535 ✭✭✭Mehaffey1

    Good judging there touch wood.

Skelly on his feet with Griffin hitting him had me concerned there, difference in skill level was ridiculous and could picture him getting KO'd so easily.

nice to see cirkunov get a win, thought for a second he was gonna get knocked out again there

I don't think the top five will be losing any sleep though

I was only half watching but was the judging fairly harsh on Katona? While all close rounds I thought he defo won the 3rd. He fairly controlled the 2nd too although he didn't really hold on to any of the take downs....

I thought he won the third too and when I heard 30-27 I thought they
    were giving it to katona
he didn't do a whole lot though when he got azure down
I'll be honest I was only half watching that one also :o

Hall fight just about to start

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,700 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Good fight between Hall and Carlos, good mix of styles. Have to think Hall won the first two rounds though and Shoeface needs a stop.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,700 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Didn't think Carlos Jr did enough with any of the takedowns he got....Hall 29-28

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,271 ✭✭✭✭mdwexford

    Christ that was woeful.

Glad he didn’t get to cuddle Hall to a decision.

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,797 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

delighted for hall, figured it might be a split and maybe just about hall

looked pretty good there while it was standing, very sharp and a little
    more urgency than normal

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,762 ✭✭✭bmcc10

    This is just bizarre

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,797 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

Connelly for me maybe another split even

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,271 ✭✭✭✭mdwexford

    Well that was embarrassing.

Showboat like that you better get a first round finish.

    Well deserved win.

That was gas. All that faffing around and he loses lol.

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,797 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

man I am so happy for connelly and on a weeks notice, thought uriah winning would be a highlight but this is so much better
delighted for him in front of his home crowd, what dreams are made of.

As for pereira...well...he was embarrassing and it might be worth saving the ol dancing till after a win
I'm sure a few of us here like myself were just hoping he'd get past the first

jaysus the backflip in the first...lol such daftness

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,797 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

there could be some simliarities here...if duffee can't get it done in the
    first that is

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,797 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

    Duffee doesn't want this imo

Going nowhere, big guy, big power and looks great
    If things go his way

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

Thats a weird one. We have seen far more egregious eye pokes than that and the fight continues.

    Whelp.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,649 ✭✭✭Whelo79

Can't help but think Duffee took the easy way out there. Plenty have fought on after much worse eye pokes than that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,498 ✭✭✭Hoboo

Eye was bloodshot to ****. Who knows, only takes a tiny bit of a nail. Pity.

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,797 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

Mad to think walker is only ranked 11

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,353 ✭✭✭Still Ill

Why didn't he take the full five though? Weird.
