Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    I could be misreading it but it looks like they are taking the idea of working around the gene issues and boosting production through another pathway.

    It certainly looks plausible but I imagine it is 10 years away at least as it looks like early stage research, so they will have to go through all the other phases if this looks promising.
