New & IMPROVED TV Theme Quiz

7 Rounds of 10 Theme Tunes, each tune is worth 2 points so you can score up to 140 points.

Each clip will be approx 15 secs long, spaced and numbered ( thanks for constructive criticism on previous attempt )

The Usual rules apply, no google, no shazam etc.

Some TV series would span multiple decades, Think Coronation Street, Dr. Who etc. but they are according to IMDB listed as being on during the decade.

The theme tunes may have changed for different series of a program but where possible I have used one that ( I Think ) is most recognisable.

I hope to put a round up every 2 days and expect a closing date around the 20th October and a reveal thread shortly after.

For the sports round is the answer just the sport or is there an actual TV show name for all of these?

If they're actual names of shows I may not do so well

Well if I get them as we go along I can get a feel for how easy/difficult they are. Surprised the BBC sports not getting people sending R1 in though.

I can say that we have a definite 1st, 2nd and 3rd

i think i might have a good chance of scoring 2 in that round.
and even on those i unsure.

didn't watch much sport on the bbc, or if i did, i'd flick over to it, so wouldn't have heard the jingles at the start

Entered, but more blank than not. Might just do better in later decades if they came.

Thanks for the adjustments. Meant at least the ones I knew (or though I knew) I could slot in the right place. Much better.

Away for a week now, so limited time to get to rest. Will be in before 20th.

They are tough so far.

Think a lot of it depends on age, us oldies would have watched some of them in real life before internet streaming was a thing.

But then, us oldies could all be suffering early onset dementia.

Hence why one theme tune does appear twice in successive decades.

Well that was spectacularly awful. I have a grand total of two answers each for the last two rounds, and I'm not anticipating adding much to those. If they're a reflection of what shows you watch Spook, I think it's fair to say we have very different tastes.

I'll have all my answers to you some time over the weekend btw.

Well my only hope is that I think I did pretty OK for the 70s and 80s rounds, but I do think I'm a genuine wooden spoon contender.

Well the only way to try and avoid the wooden spoon IMO is to get more people entered who might not know as many.

I might yet award a wooden spoon for each category, so who knows we could have 7 winners and 7 wooden spoons, just hopefully not 1 person getting all 7.
