Set it up somewhere other than the weather forum, add the words 'No Snow' and it'll get post of the day!

Below was taken around Christmas Eve last year. Yes, Clare (and Waterford/South Tipp/Cork coastline) seem to be the only places that show green. Awful if you were a snowlover in those places

Temp Rises as moist air from cloud flys overhead thats why you have a large fluctuation in temp.

The temperature's been like a yo-yo here tonight, up and down every time a shower passes which is every 15 minutes or so. Hasn't dropped below 2.7C though so the best we've managed is some sleety snow & graupel. Hail has been impressive again but becoming a bit tiresome at this stage, don't think there's been a single day in the past two weeks where we haven't had hail!

It snowed here in north monaghan around 1. Then i woke up at 6 and it had been rainin, now the ground is covered again in snow. It shows how marginal the snow was for lower levels.

I remember last year sitting where I am now, looking out the office window at the streamers hitting Dublin. Ah memories.

Hopefully we get some of the white stuff soon...

  • Registered Users Posts: 101 ✭✭Caitriona

Ah, streamers. Good times! I don't think I got any work done for weeks.

Just had a flurry of white cotton wool here, lovely fluffy stuff, but it stopped very quickly. Still, hopefully if anything else comes this way today it'll be the same!

Car frozen for the first morning this winter.

A little bit of drizzle blowing around in the wind, and low blinding sun make for interesting driving conditions.

Even if conditions were right down here, the showers are not strong enough to even make it this far, fizzling out as they pass Galway city.
