Overcrowding in Rented Accommodations.........10+ Coronavirus

Just wanted to get opinions on these rented properties we all hear about with 10-12 people sharing bedrooms etc.

I know someone in this situation and with the Coronavirus now running rampant, this can not be a good situation to be in.......

Any Thoughts or Comments

Just heard that some of my Colleagues working for our Contracting Company in India are having problems working from home to self-isolate because they live in what would be fashionably be called co-living spaces which are actually little more than dormitories.
Co-living is coming to your locality now. Live (or Die) with it.

Think about the homeless. Staying in windowless rooms in hostels with multiple others. There will definitely be deaths in our homless population.

Alot of Brazilians live in cramped conditions. Bunk beds with 10+ in houses. It will spread like wildfire and there is nothing that will be done.

Yeah a lot of South Americans sharing 2/3 bed houses and apartments with 6-8 people per room in bunk beds. I've even seen some list the couch in the communal area as a bed for rent!

A bit better than hot-boxing, so, which was a well know concept among Irish emigrants in years past.

Have you ever seen a video of the desks in the offices in India? Likely to have about 6 people in what would be space for 1 person in your office.

It's totally an issue for the spread of any communicable disease. But not just in rented accommodation: families who got stuck in 2brm "starter homes" after the last crash are also often overcrowded.

heard something about government might use empty hotels till this blows over
Some LLs and tenants where abusing and taking advantage and overcrowding, when a place is registered it asks how many bed spaces in the house or apartment which is not policed
