A typically autumnal breezy showery day here now, but the tress are still holding on to magnificent colours. North East.

It's been very windy and very wet up here in north Donegal for the last 18hrs.

Rougher than yellow alert days in the past, yet no alerts at all this time.

Got caught out in a heavy shower there while waiting for the bus in cork city. Ice cold rain and wind really picked up with cold gusts during it. Hands are frozen now! Rotten day.

Horrid weather last night, wind rain and sleet screaming at the windows.
Biterly cold in the wind today with blustery hail showers.
    Leitrim.

The autumnal colours are stunning at this time of year.

Extremely variable today. Periods of heavy dark showers and then bright sunshine. 6c at the moment and actually feeling pleasant when the sun is out. North East.

Just the same in Roscommon - it looks lovely if the sun shines and you're sheltered from the wind!
Max of 4.5C and down to 3 in the showers.

Dublin Airport is now up to 83mm while Casement is at 88.4mm, both are roughly 20mm off September, the wettest month this year for them.

Brrŕrrrrrrrrrrrrr that's all I can day about today's weather. The sky was mad this morning it really looked like it would snow. No snow but we did have some sleat showers

Not looking forward to cold weather over next few days.

No let up all day today with heavy hail showers piling in at regular intervals. Bitterly cold in the wind

I assume this should read sleet showers?

Roads in bad shape in Donegal this morning with black ice. The roads weren't gritted either.

    Donegal Co Council tweet earlier
Road surface temperatures are a few degrees below forecast this morning. No indication of any #slippyroads yet but never assume a road is ice free.

    Latest tweet

#blackice and #slippyroads widespread across the county this morning. Gritters are being mobilised. Drive with extreme care.

A slight dusting of white on the top of Nephin this morning. One or two showers earlier with a slight wintry touch to them. A chilly two degrees.
