    Hi

Signed up to broadband and TV on the 9th

There is a 10 day cooling off period.

I want to cancel the order within this period.

I have called 4 days in a row and been on hold an hour each time.

The number phone number provided on the contract under the heading "cooling off period" is not in use.

Can someone please help me to cancel this order.

I need to ensure my line is not taken over by eir ASAP.

    Please and thanks.

    Hi JustLen

Unfortunately as stated in previous posts we can't do cancellations through Social Media.  I do apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.  Please call 1800 504 110 to call the cancellations department directly.  I recommend calling early in the morning or alternatively write a letter to the cancellations department.  Click here to view the switching address which is also for cancellations.

    Kind regards

    Linzi

    Linzi

I have spent 4 hours on hold all together.

I'm looking to invoke my statutory right to cancel within cooling off period.

If I write a letter it likely won't reach in time.

You have provided details in the contract to cancel - the details are incorrect.

I'm not looking to cancel an existing account I wish to cancel an order.

By the way the installation won't be carried out as promised which is the reason for invoking cooling off rights.

    I finally got through.

Can an eir rep kindly confirm the cancellation?

I'm now getting calls to arrange installation.

I have advised installations that the order was cancelled.

    Can someone confirm the following;

    a) My line will not be taken over by eir
    b) I will not be charged

    Thanks

Appreciate if some one could come back to me Monday.

I don't want to be charged while not in contract like other posters here have been.

    Time is of the essence.

    Thanks

I'd you are connected with one supplier and reverting to that supplier, make sure you get your uan and crn from eir by email before your account is closed and churned.

If you have never been connected, then disregard.

Your account is in the process of being closed but it will take 48 hours to complete.

    Regards

    Linzi

    PM quoted above.

I take it the cancellation was not put through as suspected.

Why has my account not been cancelled as per my cancellation 2 weeks ago?!!

Can you confirm the two points I have raised?

As I stated in the pm, Your account is in the process of being closed and your account balance is zero.  So no your line won't be taken over by eir and no you won't be charged.

    Kind regards

Just confirmed with Sky that my line has been taken off them.

They just tried to set up my broadband as a new account but they confirm there is a block on the line.

This absolutely has to be sorted out can someone look at this?

You need to call 1901, I can't cancel or activate accounts through boards.

I don't need to cancel or activate an account through boards.

Could you please make an attempt to help me.

I have been on here for two weeks so this wouldn't happen. You personally assured me continuosly this wouldn't happen.

Please take some responsibility and look into this.

You asked me to check if the account has been cancelled and give you your UAN which I did.  I also advised through pm that it was going to take 48 hours to cancel down.  The finalization of the cancellation was confirmed this morning after you have spoken to Sky.  They should now be able to take over the line.  You never mentioned anything on this forum about keeping mobiles so these must have been cancelled, as all your services where bundled together.  I am very sorry for this confusion.  I can't help any further through this forum you need to speak to the loyalty department to get this sorted out.

    Kind regards

    Linzi

I have just been advised to tell you to go into an eir store and get a sim only plan then ask them to do a MSDN swap.  That way you can get the mobiles back.
