    Hi All

Just seen that Dunne's' are now in bed with Neven Maguire on cooking utilities and accessories.

The prices seem good... just wondering any thoughts on the quality???

Was looking at a 3 x Knife Set at €30..... supposed to be Japanese quality but never seem them these cheap.

Hope it goes well for him....

Dunnes cheapen everything they touch. They’ll dress products up in fancy packaging or pay for name rights as in this case but the product underneath it all is generally poor. Profit is their sole aim, at the expense of pretty much everything else.

Cheap Chinese sh1te with some "celeb" chef name attached I'd say. People will buy any old crap if it has that endorsement.

You were misled by his name being misspelled. It's Neven Maguire.

Haven't tried the Neven Maguire but will check it out. I find their brand stuff can be good. Some of the Paul Costello men's clothes is good quality and good value. That said the Paul Galvin stuff is StBernard poor quality rubbish but double the price for Galvin's name. So it's probably a case of check it out in store and try to judge the quality before you buy.

Is he there in person so I can hit him over the head with it? If so, it's worth the 30 yoyos. If not, I'll part with a fiver, nothing more.

Have found some of the stuff expensive for what it is, but then other stuff pretty cheap. Quality great though. They have come a long way on quality across the store. Just what the hell were they thinking with that cheese board

saw galvin one day in a shopping centre, shortly after he launched his "range", so it's a few years ago. The sales were on, and he had bags from h&m, river island, zara, next, f&f (tesco!) -

now maybe he was doing research, or maybe the royalties from dunnes had yet to kick in, but for a guy who fancied himself as a fashion icon (he'd been on the late late and all!) i thought he'd be a bit more discerning where he shopped.
